Windows XP Registry Cleaner
The registry on your computer, if running on Windows, is a place that contains
all important data that your PC requires to run. All the settings for the hardware
and software are stored in the registry. So basically, anything you add/change/remove
on your machine is stored in the registry. Cleaning the registry is something
you should do regularly, no matter what version of Windows you are running. A
Windows XP registry cleaner for instance, will do the same job on XP or any other
version of Windows.
A lot of the data that is stored is the registry becomes obsolete in a short
space of time. So by using a registry cleaner, you can remove this data and
your machine will become faster and also may get rid of any errors that you
are having. So cleaning your registry is a vital part of having a PC that is
running to its optimum level.
There are quite a few companies who make registry cleaners. Microsoft did create
their own version but it was never really fully supported for Windows XP and
onwards. It was called RegClean and is available but not quite as good as some
of the others. There are many that are free to download but you should be very
careful as to the one you choose. Some of them could contain spyware and are
just created to infect your machine.
Our favourite choice is Registry Fix, which you can find at the top of this
page. It is very safe, very easy to use and also very good! It is a great Windows
XP registry cleaner and also supports other versions, so check it out and see
if it is suitable for your machine.
